A05 - ONE UI 7 - BLACK SCREEN

Has anyone here experienced a bug regarding the official one ui 7 update for A05 causing a black screen?

Was excited to have finally received the update so i hurriedly installed it. To be very cautious, I even left it plugged in so there would be no interruptions during the process. The installation was smooth and it rebooted properly. I even saw the one ui logo loading bar where it would show "optimizing apps".

But when it was done, nothing. Display won't turn on, was able to turn on Talkback able to hear something. At first, i thought it was just the display so i carefully disassembled the device and reseated the cable, nothing. Bought a new display and installed it properly, nothing.

My biggest mistake was that i didn't considered first that this was a software issue before buying a display replacement. Never thought about it because why would an official samsung update would cause such issue.

So what i did was reflash the one ui 6 firmware using ODIN, managed to put it on download mode without having a display confirmation and guess what... THE DISPLAY WAS ACTUALLY WORKING. To confirm if this was really the case. i tried reflashing the one ui 7 firmware on it and the display won't show anything again. Plugging in, i can only hear the charging sound but no display. Just reverted back to one ui 6 for the meantime.

Hoping someone has the same case as mine that's been solved because i really want that one ui 7 update.

use ODIN, you can lookup tutorials on youtube on how to use it, if you manage to trigger download mode. for firmware, i used samfw.com, it has a neat feature where it can detect the suitable firmware for your device if you allowed permissions on your browser.

Download odin software, currently using 3.14. And go to sammobile website, firmware then put model number of your phone, a list of firmwares appear so you have to look for version column and choose version 14 ( version 15 is basically oneui7 and 14 is working on oneui 6) .

For the phone itself, i had to remove the back cover and removed the battery connector in order to make it shutdown completely, then plug it back, hold both volume buttons then plug in usb cable with your laptop while keeping holding the volume buttons, odin console should show a message "added" . Add the firmware files to odin (userdata have not file so dont panic) then start

UPDATE:

REPLACE YOUR SCREENS. I've managed to fix the issue by simply searching for a different display supplier. I tried IPARTSEXPERTS LCD for Samsung Galaxy A05 and alas, it finally has shown again life.

If working with your device seem scary, just ask a technician or bring it to a samsung service center. The cause remains unclear, might just be a one ui 7 bug or samsung tightening the belt when it comes to 3rd party display replacements.

Overall, have your screens checked.

Some reference photos:

Phone currently running One UI 7 with latest security patch. One UI 7 on A05.One UI 7 on A05 Lockscreen.

I remember I saw a new one ui7 update with binary A has anyone tried flash his A05 with that firmware cause maybe the first oneui7 firmware with binary 9 had a problem. The hardest thing is when u update with binary A firmware u can't downgrade so let say if the Binary A firmware doesn't work what firmwarw will u use for downgrade it won't be possible let's wait for any 4 generations of one ui7 maybe that could solve the problem am thinking the problem is due to our display modules not being original samsung display modules.
