Message notification

Hi. On my tablet I receive a text message when there's a voice mail message. I do not want a text message. Is there a way to block the number as I'm not sure how to answer a tablet. Do you need headphones?

Also my smartphone does the same thing with a text message. The little symbol on my screen is enough for me. Also why the tablet ring and not the smartphone? Thank you. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I believe that needs to be changed through your service provider

If you go to the pull down menu on the top right side of your screen on your phone and search for the icon I have circled in my screen shot and touch it to disable it you should not get messages and calls on your tablet.
There should also be a similar icon to disable on your tablet if that doesn't stop getting notified on your tablet

These are shots of my pull-down screen on both of my Samsung devices. I don't seem to have the option you are highlighting.

Would unpairing the tablet from the Samsung S22+ work?

If you look closely at your menus in your screen shots just above the sliders for brightness and sound you will see a little line just below the icons
Pull down again on this line and it should open up more icons and names under them

When it comes to technology, I am not smart. I do not see or understand what you are telling me to do. Sliders (?). What you're suggesting I will never understand. I am sick with bronchitis, so please don't take offense. YouTube video for this model. (Some tips and tricks aren't accessible as well)

I found a solution. I turned off settings to allow calls and text messages from my Smartphone

In your screen shots
You see your wifi and Bluetooth icons that are blue and below them are 2 lines of icons some blue and some not.
Below them you should see a little short line before a small different shade of colour on your screen
Pull down again on the little line in your pull down menu on top right of your screen on your device - not in your screen shots-and other icons and names should now show

That is what the icon that I was trying to guide you to does which I mistakenly thought was easier than explaining how to get to it in settings🤣
