Hi talukder,

Thank you for patience and sharing your experience with the Tab S9+ on One UI 8.

Your feedback about DeX being set as the default layout and the resulting crashes is important, and we will share it with the appropriate team for review.

In the meantime, here are a few troubleshooting steps you may find helpful:

Update Software: Ensure your Tab S9+ is running the latest available software version, as stability patches are often released quickly.

Wipe Cache Partition: Restarting into recovery mode and clearing the cache partition can sometimes resolve system instability.

Samsung Members App: You can also submit error reports directly through the Samsung Members app, which provides diagnostic logs to our engineers for faster resolution.

We truly appreciate the time you’ve taken to explain your concerns in detail.

One UI 8 is a massive step backward for productivity. Forcing Samsung DeX as the default layout is a total waste of display real estate. I’ve had to resort to Developer Mode to disable it, but now the system is completely unstable. Every time I have multiple apps open and attempt to resize a window, the entire tab system and all active apps crash instantly. This needs an immediate fix—stop forcing DeX and restore stable window management.
