Thanks for your devices matching inquiry, here. But it can be better, if you compare a phone to a phone and/or a tablet vs a tablet to really identify their actual differences.

The first thing you need to figure out is what do you plan on doing with the "better device".

Obviously there are certain things the smartphone can do that the tab can't and vise versa.

Best to first determine that then compare on what fits the budget.

At the end of the day, it will all boil down to it's intended purpose.

An entry level tablet can't be compared to a flagship mobile device. It's like comparing apples to oranges.
