How the **bleep** do I block the spam texts that keep coming in on Samsung messages???? So many bs text from wherever. There was a way before I got the new phone... but can't remember how I did it before

Switch to Google Messages & enable Spam Protection from the Settings in Google Messages.

I don't use Chat Rooms, but I do use HEX Installer which Themes 3rd party apps like Google Messages.

Samsung's Moderators here on Samsung Members Canada, are advising people to switch to Google Messages.

Depending on what is more important to you, spam or Chat Room Customization?

BUT I wouldn't be surprised if much of the spam you are receiving, is from some of the Chat Rooms you participate in.

Oh, I don't mean actual chat rooms. It's just customizes each person's chat inbox. I guess it would be like notification. Sounds and the image in the background.

What's hex? And by seems? Do you mean like the like what? I'm after I like knowing whether I need to pick up my phone. Based on the sounds that comes out of it, LOL.

Yes, you can customize the Notification Tones for each of your contacts, as well as the image you see when you are messaging with them. I know who is texting me, just by the Ringtone, so I can choose to respond right away, or leave it for later.

HEX Installer is a 3rd party app which is used to Theme Samsung devices.

It's a paid app from the Play Store.
