If it's the same Carrier - Take the SIM out of your old phone & insert into the new phone (NOTE: Don't set up the new phone without the SIM installed - Because the FIRST time you insert a SIM in a new phone - It will automatically Factory Reset) 😉🐧
all phones if bought new are unlocked in Canada. so what ever the sim carrier is then the phone will become that carrier the first time a sim is inserted. also if they 2 different carriers then its called porting the number . contact your last carrier and ask them to release the number because you wish to keep the number and port it to your new carrier. then it may take time but you can call your new carrier and give them your account number from the previous carrier and they will copy the account number in their database under your account and you will have the same number still.
