Finally a useful Pie feature

I discovered a setting in the message app where you can disable severe alerts, extreme alerts and Amber alerts .

I hope everyone disables this, then we would have no emergencies. We would finally get peaceful sleeps while kids go missing

yeah because waking me up when im no where near the abduction is really useful .

Let me know when a family member goes missing...I'll look the other way. The FACT is it goes across Canada so that if the people are making progress whike on the run then everyone across the nation can be made aware of them and their description. A lot more people are saved than lost...get over yourself.

pretty sure it's a legal requirement in Canada and that you can't really turn it off... don't get mad if it doesn't end up working

I didn't know that was a thing. Do you get the alerts often?

not very often , but last time it went off in the middle of the night and the phone makes an extremely loud siren noise.
