no traces of it on my note 8.

both from freedom.
both fully patched..

when you go to homescreen settings you will find portrait mode only. turn it off.

so I believe I found the root cause of this problem.

according to a reddit user, you must have bixby installed.
I had removed bisby from my note 8.
I will test.
