note 8 contacts video option

I have a question regarding contacts in the Samsung note 8 under my contacts when I select an individual there is the option to call them text them or video call them, the video call option is always greyed out and I'm unable to select it. does anyone else have this issue ?

Does your mobile carrier support video calling? If they don't that's probably why it's grayed out. if they do support it but it's grayed out then it's a carrier issue.

@Bright79 I am also with Bell and I know Bell has Video calling over LTE, but have never tried it...

Bell does indeed have video call, better known as VoLTE (Voice/Video over LTE)

I've never had the opportunity to use it myself as I just left Rogers who also has it and now I'm at Freedom who doesn't have it. Not sure if both users have to have VoLTE for the feature to be enabled or not.

the video call option is mostly supported in Korea. unless your provider in Canada has it. which I personally haven't seen here.
