If you would be forced to buy a smartphone other than Samsung, which model might interest you and why?

For me, it would be a Huawei ( before their problems) or Google. Both for photo quality. But for overhall I prefer Samsung 👍

my first choice WAS a Huawei P30 Pro ($1199.00 Bell), second Google Pixel 3. it's in sale now for $599 between $999.00 (pixel 3 XL $ 859 between $ 1259 128 gigs)
Both of them have better camera than Samsung including my Note10+

They don't. The Note10+ has the leading camera quality according to DxO. I hope you weren't told that by a seller at Bell... Anyway Huawei lies when it comes to camera. Going as far as modifying moon shots

Nokia 9 Pureview. Good software updates, near stock Android, no malware or spyware. Sony Xperia 1 as a second choice.

Huawei is a no. Google can't design anything right and their Pixels are proof. They're Android's expensive poor iPhone copycat with infinite problems and horrible design (symmetry hello?). Chinese companies as a whole are a no. iPhones are a no. Motorola is pathetic at updates. LG too. HTC is dead.

Voici un article qui confirme mes choix...Note 10+ n'est pas le meilleur smartphone pour prendre des photos.

Hélas, le Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus n’est pas proche des superstars en matière de photos peu éclairées. Les Google Pixel 3 et plus particulièrement le Huawei P30 Pro sont meilleurs. Samsung utilise son propre mode nuit, mais il n'est pas aussi bon que celui de Huawei.

hard choice 🤔. some good points made in the comments section, my personal key points I look for it's a hard call for me. one plus is maybe, Nokia I don't know much about, sony from what I know isn't bad. as much as I hate to say it iphone would be a good option too.

If I was forced to buy a smartphone other than Samsung it would be the LG G7 ThinQ. I like the style of the phone and the price.
