MOISTURE UPDATE 2.0

I thank you all for the suggestions to fix the moisture problem on my S8. So I tried cleaning the port with canned air, hair dryer and also left it in rice bag all night last night.

I can now for sure confirm it's a software bug. From a suggestion I received elsewhere, I tried booting into safe mode to see if the moisture error still shows up. To my surprise, it doesn't show any moisture error in safe mode. It changes perfectly well! So I think something else is causing it.
Does anybody have any idea which apps might be culprit? Perhaps a reset will be best, but don't want to go through all the hassle.

Any suggestions is appreciated.

yeah, I'll do it tomorrow. So many stuff on it, plus deep customization all will be gone. But better than spending $120 to fix it. Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow 🤞

this might sound counter intuitive... but why not try soaking the port in water and then try charging. this might force the sensor software to 'reset' or recalibrate since it looks like it's stuck on moisture detected mode.

interesting idea! either it's going to fix it or completely damage the power board inside. Too risky, but I'll try it if I lose all hope. Thanks for the suggestion.

not exactly the same probleme but , my s8 can't use fast charge and i can't be detected by my cumputer usb port ...!
