I cannot get notifications on the Messages app (SMS)at all even though all notifications are set to on, I use to get them before and unsure why I dont get them now, do I have to reset my Samsung 8+ Edge for me to get notifications again for this specific app????
I would try the following: So into Settings/Apps/Messages and clear cache and reboot, of you are still not receiving notifications.
If you are still not receiving notifications, then try the following:
Boot your phone into recovery (To boot the Galaxy S8 into recovery, start by turning the device completely off. Once it's off, press and hold the Bixby and volume up buttons, then press the power button. Let go of the power once the phone turns on, while still keeping the Bixby and volume up buttons pressed)
Once you're in recovery, wipe system cache and reboot, hopefully that will fix your notifications problem.
