Nope, no major software update for you. Agree, time to move on.
But S6 is still a great device if you don't wanna spend money on a newer flagship. Newer flagships are much more expensive than older flagships were from Samsung.

Nougat?! Nougat is already released for S6! How come you don't have it, nougat is the last released major update for S6.
Check your software updates, Nougat was released for S6 last year!

Yeah! 6 is Marshmallow. 7 is nougat! And 8 is Oreo.
You're on 6 Marshmallow. 7 Nougat is released for your S6 last year, it's been long time!
