Phone APP freezes...

Hey guys,

Since I change phone, my phone app has been acting up. It freezes when I receive an incoming call making it tough to answer. I've cleared the cache and force closed the app. It has resolved the issue temporarily and then it comes back a couple hours later.

I tried reinstalling the app to no avail. 

Thanks for your ideas. (I'd rather not flash my device and if possible, avoid resetting unless it my last resort..)

You bought a new phone? Which model? Probably the S20 series? If so, I believe you are not alone here with this issue.

Hey @ Choquette67,

If you have a limited amount of storage on your Galaxy device this could possibly slow down your phone, you can try clearing up space or memory within your Device Care settings.

Launch your Settings >> Device Care >> Storage >> Clean now &

 Settings >> Device Care >> Memory>> Clean now

thanks but I only have 19% of storage taken, that's not the issue for sure.

found the answer. Native APPS : AR Emoji, AR Zone both perform a glitch on the phone app. Deactivated them and voila, works like a charm now. thanks Chmultimedia for providing the link as I found the answer there. thanks.
