Problem with messages app.

So, whenever I type a longer message it automaticaly turns it into an MMS message. I can't find a solution that will stop that

There is a limit for sms, once you reach your limit it will automatically convert the text to mms.

Yes, I know that. But there is a way to disable it. I have as my work phone a J6 and I don't have this problem. And my friend has an S8 and doesn't have this problem.

Ok.. that's something new to me then I didn't know you can disable it... check YouTube or online to see if they have the disable option for the device you have now...

It's the S9+ running One UI 1.0

Do your S9+ and J6 have the same phone company? Some companies limit their SMS characters.

No. They are not the same. But my friends S8 is the same as my S9+. That is the wierd part

🤔🤔🤔 that's strange, we recommend that you get in contact with your phone company and ask if your line as an SMS restriction.
