S7 edge Always on Notifications don't show. why??

When I had my note 7 I would get all my notifications to show on my always on display. Texts, whatsapp, emails, etc..

Now with the s7 edge I'm trying to set it up all the same as my note 7 but for some reason these notifications don't show on this phone. I am still using the calendar Always on display, I have checked the "show notifications" button, but still nothing.

Thoughts ideas?

When your phone shows the calendar (Always On Display), do you click the home button? I believe that's the only way to see your notifications, but I could be wrong (had the S7 Edge for less than a week, former Apple user still trying to figure this out).

s7 edge always on display does not show notifications from third party apps like Facebook twitter what's app etc. They only show notifications from calls , texts, and other system apps. also samsung s7 edge always on display is not interactive like it was with note 7's.

I used to get them (used disa for text fb and whatsapp) but after an update I didn't want that feature is gone
