Hi. I am running the newest version of Android on my S8. I was having an issue on the original release of Android 9 with the Play Store using lots of battery.  Now with the latest update that is solved but my Cell Standby is using more than 25% of battery over about 12hr time.

Any suggestions? Thanks!Screenshot_20190714-231828_Settings.jpg

I'm not sure what to say other than - Did you Reset your Network Connections?
Settings - General Management - Reset Network settings - Here's a screenshot from my S10+ & if you compare it to my previous screenshot from my S9+ you'll see that Cell Standby uses negligible battery..
If none of these work for you - I'd probably Backup the device & Factory Reset...
Beyond that - Contact your Carrier & ask them to Reset your Network (but I doubt it will do much more than what's suggested here) 🐧

Tried reset network settings too.

Now my list of attempts to fix this is:

1. Clear cache for Google messages

2. Clear cache in recovery boot

3. Change back to Samsung messages from Google messages

4. Turn off adaptive battery

5. Reset network settings

6. Clear chache and data for Google play services

7. Clear cache and data for play store

8. Clear cache and data for chrome

9. Change apn settings from default to what's listed on my provider's site

10. Change apn back to default

11. Take sim card out and wipe it (I'm getting desperate lol)

I'm gonna try calling them to reset my network.

Thanks for your help!

If by #11 Do you mean that you removed the SIM & performed a Factory Reset?

If you did perform a Factory Reset... then I don't know what else to try....
If you did NOT perform a Factory Reset - Then I would if it was my device.. In fact I would have done it long ago...
Still - Very weird... Maybe try replacing the SIM itself - If it's even slightly damaged it could have a significant effect... 🐧

If you insert a New SIM with the Same Carrier & Phone number - It shouldn't reset anything... If that's what you mean?

So I got a new sim card. Cleared cache in recovery and factory reset, no use. then cleared cache again. Contacted my provider but they said they cant reset network which is weird cause they did it for me before under a year ago.
