S9 Update, is this a joke?

What is going on with the S9 update?

February security patch in June? Really? No updates coming for the phone and we're almost in June.

well sometimes it's better if it comes later, because in some markets they find issues with the updates. personally I would rather wait then get a bad update. I have an S9+ but yes, I would agree that it's getting kinda ridiculous now for a device is not even officially on quarterly updates yet.

While this is a valid point, unfortunately it is rendered moot as the US keeps getting these patches without issues. And we all know how our software is similar...

I agree with you it's unacceptable.

largest phone manufacture in the world and OnePlus 6t gets android 10 imidiately. it's so unfair.

SMRs and major upgrades are two separate things though. Oxygen OS is just Stock Android on steroids. You can't directly compare it with Samsung OS... er OneUI/Samsung Experience, which is almost a whole different OS at this point.

I learned long time ago not to buy canadian versions/models phones because they are very behind always!! I buy only unlocked US models !! better support and on time updates is all i have seen

This is ridiculous, S9 is supposed to get monthly patches. We are not even getting quarterly updates. How is Samsung fulfilling their promise?
