Samsung Pay maybe featuring Boost eWallet soon

Boost is one of the major digital wallet provider in Malaysia. With Boost you are now experiencing cashless, secure and more rewards with each transaction performed.

With more than 5,000 merchants accepting Boost as payment option nationwide, now Boost bring a new partnership with Samsung Pay. User will able to use Boost wallet as one of the payment source instead of Debit/Credit cards traditionally.

With #GalaxyS20 launch in Malaysia, Samsung Malaysia featured Boost as one of the payment option activated in Samsung Pay application screen.

I tried to dig more information on this but it seems there's nothing at the moment on how the intergration works so we will have to wait until this is official.

guess the integration takes longer time. I hope they will do it with grab too. Grab pay user here! haha

Until today Samsung still not yet cover more Malaysia bank cards support by Samsung pay.

because most card not tokenized. in order to get tokenized, banks need to apply from bank negara. not all banks are willing to go thru this process.

so moving in QR psyment is the other way to target general users with the convenience of samsungpay

Raised this issue with Samsung representative, Jiang Fong May during the recent Galaxy Unpacked event, there's nothing they can do if the bank chose not to support it. BTW you can use Maybank MAE wallet to begin with Samsung Pay. Just top up the wallet and you are ready to go
