Yes, but only a few users from millions actually have had issues with water resistance. I've owned several samsung water resistant devices and have had no issues when submerging in any sort of water. Neither of my friends who own galaxies have had any issues with water resistance. Reading the samsung, facebook and reddit forums on this topic, not a single person had an issue with water resistance.
