big gap above messages "no unread messages" is a waste of space

Since the update, now when I open my messages there is a big 2 inch gap at the top of my text messages saying "no unread messages" instead of listing my text conversations from the top, forcing me to scroll down.

Waste of space and a scroll. 

Delete this please. It is redundant.

Hey @pmurd,

 

I might be able to shed some light on this UI decision—Samsung One UI is designed for one-handed operation of your phone, so everything is within reach of your thumb. Having said that, I realize that the extra space can be a bit of an eyesore...

 

Your feedback is appreciated though! The UI team is taking this into account, and perhaps changes may come with Android Q 😊
