What way is better to factory reset the phone.
Going to the settings and doing it from there.
Or going into recovery mode and doing it from there.
Lemme know what one is better and what's the difference

Factory Reset should be performed from Recovery - The only time I MIGHT Factory Reset from settings is if I was returning a device or selling it & if I didn't know how to Factory Reset from Recovery.

i factory reset my phone once from settings. i just backed up everything i wanted to the cloud and moved all my pictures to my SD card. then i did the reset in settings then when that was done. i restore the things i wanted from the cloud and done. no issues. but for the record i did remove the SD card as a precaution maybe it was not necessary.

factory resets won't wipe your SD card. however make sure you decrypt it first if you have it encrypted
