My phone is supposed to Be waterproof so why is it telling me that I have water or moisture in my charging port and all I did was plug it in to charge

how would you charge it if you had no port? Haha. but for real you just have to dry it out , a few blows in the port usual does the trick. Water doesn't get in side the phone just on the outside of the ports 😉

well my family member has s9 and cant as well... port is dry... sometimes works but for only about 10 min b4 error occurs... otherwise it can only wireless charge

Sounds like you got some drit in the port.
Try taking a q-tip with some rubber alcohol. Warning please don't push to hard on the port. After doing that take a hairdryer on the lowest setting and dry it out. Do not put the hairdryer directly in the port. Let me know if that helps.

When you dry your port you should also make sure that usb c plug is dried too. That is if you connected usb c when port was wet.
