ringtones

I've purchased and downloaded a song from Google play that I'd like to use as my ringtone. is there a way for me to do this without using my computer? also a mac user. advice?

pick out your contact then go to edit. ring tone then go to bottom of ring tones then pick from device storage

Is there a way to do that with notification tones too? I don't see an option at the bottom like I do on ringtones
