text message notification sound

Hi, I'm using an 8+ and my text notification sound isn't working, did you guys experienced the same problem? All sound levels are up. Settings for text notification is on. Other notifications are okay but only this one. Please help.

I'm using Evolve for MMS/SMS and the Notification Sounds are working - Make sure that System Sounds are not inadvertently turned off (or very low) You can use an app from the Play Store called "Volume" and you'll see a screen like this below - When I opened it up my System Sounds were off - I was still getting Notification sounds - But my Phone Keypad didn't have any Tones when pressed 🐧

When you're in the notification drop down menu, press and hold the text messages notification you should se a menu appears, try don't silence notification

Hey @syefemsy! Could you double check if you have disabled notification sound of Messages application by mistake?
Go to Messages app > Tap of three dots on the top right corner > Setting > Notifications.

Is there any chance you changed the text message notification sound away from the default? If so, go back into the settings to change it, and make sure you still have the same access to the file. It's been a while, but I've had similar issues in the past, particularly if the sound was on a micro SD.

hey cnewell74, yeah, been changing the sound every time but still silent. here are screenshots of current settings.
