My school board thought it would be a good idea to not cancel school when there is literally Blizzard like conditions. Power also just went out.

I can relate. There was icy rain, roads were as slippery as it gets, buuut the school board said "whatever". There was also a power outage.

Yep. My school board is the same. A few weeks back cars were sliding off the road and half the busses we're snowed in, but because the roads outside their head office we're clear everyone else's must have been as well.

Funny you mention this ... Regina school busses have been cancelled since Monday BUT the schools were open ... half the teachers couldn't even get to the schools!
