Equipment Onkyo TX-RZ820 and Samsung 75” smart TV . TV and receiver are 70’ apart. My receiver had ARC capability , which means that it can support audio when steaming on WiFi. What it till me hours to figure out , that if you plug the HDMI cable into the 3rd port it solves all your problems . The 3rd port is the ARC HDMI. Run the set-up menu on the Onkyo receiver and good to go. I tried the optical cable and it doesn’t work. Either the signal was too weak or the optical cable wasn’t good quality . Nothing intuitive about this set-up.
