Looks like after their breech Samsung is going to make everyone enable 2 factor authentication  to log into their Samsung account

Yes, you can enable Two-step verification on the Samsung account using the below steps. It will help you keep your data secure.

 

open settings>> Accounts and backup>> Acoounts>> Samsung account>> Password and security>> enable Two-step verification.

2FA is dumb. Text messages or calls aren't safe. They jeopardize your security. 2-Step authentication is safer if they use a hardware key or an authenticator such as Microsoft/Google Authenticator. If 2S is via calls or text, it doesn't bring any added benefit.
