Where have I been lately?

There are many ways to skin a cat. Transfering data from your old android phone to another android phone is easy. Traditionally, we can use a few methods i.e. cable, pc or thrird party transfer apps e.g. smart switch.

But only recently I know that google had made life of transferring data so simple.

1. Open google
2. Type 'setup my device' in the search bar
3. Follow instructions.

P/s: i discovered this while helping a friend to transfer data from his old huawei to his new pixel 3a. We didn't have type c to to type c cable, no laptop and 3rd party transfer app just refused to work.

Sooo...easy. Tq google.

but for me , It just automatically transfer via Samsung cloud such as :
- theme
- contact number
- phone personal customisation
and few photo / video that's are share via Samsung cloud.
It's done as soon as i log in my Samsung account in a new device. This what I've been experience from switching 4 Samsung devices (that just when i knew there's was an Samsung cloud that capable to do so).

True. If you are using a same brand, the phones normally come with file transfer capability.

Yup. Cloud storages viz. samsung cloud, google drives, Microsoft OneDrives etc help a lot. Nowadays, transfering file is not an issue.

But there are times when you face circumstances that require some workaround.
