Your phone should be unlocked if you bought it from a carrier. As all phones in Canada should be unlocked.

now a days yes they should be
all unlocked. i think as of about a year ago.

I still have a few friends who get a phone that is not unlocked, and they have to manually call in to their carrier to get it unlocked. I mean they wont charge them, but I dont think all phones are still coming unlocked..
