I'm hoping someone can help. Is there any way to stop the entire screen from lighting up when getting a message when I use the Samsung messages app? It's really annoying. Using an A70 currently but I've used it on other Samsung phones and it does the same thing.

To change this

Try going to Settings, Accessibility, Advanced Settings, Flash notification and notification reminders

You have to turn off notifications on your lock screen in settings to stop it from lighting up.

I think you want to disable edge lighting it will disable the light along the borders of your phone for all notifications. You can find edge lighting in quick settings or use the search function in settings. If you just dont like edge lighting for texts and everything else is fine you can choose to disable it for samsung messages
