I want to register for the first promo, but can't find how to. Promo isn't mentioned in Samsung Pay, or perhaps it happens automatically and no need to register? No clue.

no need to register it seems. just use their cards. CIBC one is limited to one entry per day when you use Samsung pay with their cards.
