Samsung Pay

Sumsung  is "good" at telling you how to turn off ads from other apps.

However, they refuse to allow you to turn off their own banner ads which take up between 1/3 and 1/2 of a screen.

Mean that I needed to QUIT Samsung Pay and switch to Google Pay.

Hey @ MJC-S

To disable getting notifications on sales, deals and promotions from Samsung.

Open "Galaxy Store" >> "Menu" button in the top-right corner >> "Settings" >> "Marketing choice" -> Toggle off

Also Open "Notifications" for the Galaxy Store app in general Android settings and toggle off the "Promotions"

Those settings change nothing. Samsung places ads within its own apps on its Galaxy phones and denies it, even showing "contains ads" in the graphic description of its apps as shown in Google Play Store. SHealth, SPay are two I can personally confirm. As others in Samsung Community have communicated with screen shots, these are not sordid pop-up ads generated by some questionable dev in a less than quality app - these are placed as top 1/3 of display screen, are ads for Samsung's own apps, products and services and those of it's marketing partners. Sure, you can slide the remaining 2/3 of the screen upward and the ad will be hidden - but it is not permanent, you must repeat this exercise every single time you open the app or are back at that particular screen. IF a user has paid for their Samsung phone, they should not have to be bombarded by these ridiculous ads.
