Smartthings
I currently have a smartthings hub (the previous version not current) and am looking to get the smartthings wifi.
I am not able to find a clear suggestion/answer to this: should I use the new wifi system as a hub, or continue using my existing hub? Aside from the hassle of moving everything over, is there a benefit or not either way? Are there any features per se that my current hub has that I will lose if I switch to the wifi as a hub?
I could not find any specific info on this, but I do like the idea of cutting out the current hub just for the sake of minimizing clutter.

SmartthingsAlthough this post is dated I would appreciate knowing if you found the answer to your issue.
I am looking to buy either v2 or v3 hub OR a ST wifi mesh router.
Any info is appreciated.

no, I never got any clear info. I have continued just using each separately. I feel this may be better in case something goes wrong with another, that way you're not stuck redoing everything.
