I would like to know why we have not recieved our Android Oreo for this tablet (which would be our first update, currently STUCK on 7.1.1). If I knew I wasn't going to get updates I would have paid for an iPad.

 Kinda miffed because I had to pay for Avast Pro to protect my tablet from Google Play because Samsung hasn't sent any security updates since January 2018. What if we would have gotten hacked?

Oreo is being rolled out globally. Please be patient. And an antivirus is useless against exploits. Don't go on shady sites, don't install apks from shady sources and you'll e safe. Been using my Tab A 2015 which is on 7.1.1 August 2018 (BlueBorne patch) and I've never been hacked

I'm im the same situation with the Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet 2017 8.0 still on Android 7.1.1 with the security patch of January 1st 2018

my Pixel 2 is rocking Android 9 pie with the December 5 security patch
got it yesterday

You guys need to very serious about this updates problems

t3chgy...I am in Canada, I just checked...no update I am still on 7.1.1 and I pressed the manual button.

I have the iPhone 7 Plus, and it has IOS 12.1 up to date and it's not a new phone.

I even have a Nexus 5X on Android 8.1, now rooted ready to get pie via Lineage OS or Mokee ROM.
