Why when I move any picture from Pictures to an album, a copy remains in the Picture folder?

No. Albums are folders. This will move the picture to the new album folder

check to see if the photo is on the cloud, do you see sorta a cloud icon on the thumbnail of the pic?

same issue. you can move a pic to an album but it leaves a copy in Pictures. so it is only making a copy. if you delete it out of Pictures it also deletes it out of your Album. this started happening after an update early in August. Samsung support are not helpful at all
