Since Dec 1, update the smart lock feature does not work consistantly. I have a Galaxy S10 plus and a Galaxy Watch Active 2. Yesterday, smart unlock failed 5 times.

Ya smart lock is turning into a useless pos. Trusted places never really worked and now since android 10 it seems trusted devices is almost as useless as trusted places.

An update. I have called Samsung support twice and gone to their Samsung Experience Centre. As directed, I have reset my phone twice I bought a brand new Galaxy Watch 2. The experience centre ran a diagnostic. Because the fault did not occur when in the experience centre, it feels like they don't consider the failure of Smart Lock a problem. what is most frustrating is that for the first 6 months, Smart lock worked flawlessly. Only after the Dec 1 system update, Smart Lock has failed multiple times every day. See below:

I honestly don't think Samsung Canada takes anything seriously. They already have our money so they don't care. Some of the worst support and customer service I've seen in a while.

Update on Smart Lock. I tra elled Cuba and did not want to take my S10 plus. so I took my older phone, an 8 plus. Absolutly no problem with this feature. My S10 is still under warranty so I hope my research can prove that there is something wrong with my S10. So beware of upgrading to anything beyond a an S8 before Samsung takes action on this problem. Interestingly Samsung wants to blame Google.
