Bixby Advanced Features Missing

I have a Samsung phone, and I can access these advanced features with no problem by just going into Bixby settings. However, my mom's phone doesn't seem to have them.

I checked the verison of Bixby that we are running and hers is ver3.3.59.8 but mine is ver3.6.40.26 but it says hers is updated to the latest version?? What is going on?

Btw here are some details that might be helpful:

-My Phone Model: S24

-My Mom's Phone Model: A53 5G

-Software Version: Both phones are updated to the latest version (One UI 6.1.1)

It seems the discrepancy between the Bixby versions on your S24 and your mom's A53 5G is due to differences in different device lines.

Verify App Updates via Galaxy Store: On your mom's phone: Open the Galaxy Store. Tap Menu (three horizontal lines) > Updates. Check if a Bixby update is available. If there is an update, install it and see if the version aligns.

Manually Update Bixby: If the Galaxy Store doesn't show an update:

Go to Settings > Apps > Bixby Voice. Tap App Info > Details in Store. If it opens the Galaxy Store, check for an update.

Clear Cache and Data for Bixby: Sometimes, clearing cache can resolve issues with missing updates.

Go to Settings > Apps > Bixby Voice. Tap Storage > Clear Cache. If necessary, tap Clear Data, then restart the phone and recheck.

Reset Bixby to ensure no setup issues are causing missing features: Open Settings > Apps > Bixby Voice. Tap Storage > Clear Data. Restart the phone and reconfigure Bixby.

I tried everything that you suggested, but still, no luck.

I found the Bixby ver3.6.40.26 on APKMirror. Should I just download it from there?

I'm sure it has to do with the Bixby verison, but here:

Do you think I'll just be fine to update it using APKMirror? Because I cannot update it through anything else.

Yeah. You can always try installing the APK from APKMirror, I believe. You can also reset the app if it's not working. I don't have an A-series phone. But I have checked the Z and S series phones that I have; these advanced features are also there. I'm guessing Bixby on A-series phones is different and has fewer features? I'm not sure about this. 😂

Weird, I guess I'll just wait to see what a Samsung Moderator would say about it before actually installing the update from APKMirror.

So are you seeing the update version on APK Mirror on your mom's device or on yours?

You really can't expect the same features on a bargain phone that are available on the S version

If you can see the update version on your mom's device you are likely good to try installing it but I doubt it will let you especially if it is not shown on her device

After contacting Samsung Support, they said it's just simply not possible to get those "advanced features" on an A series phone.

I tried installing the 3.6.40.26 via APKMirror on her phone, but the phone said it was invalid, so I then tried ver3.6.16.0, and it actually updated. Do I have the advanced features? No, but did I update the Bixby app? Yes.

So, I guess it's just not currently available, but I did manage to update it, which actually made the whole app much easier for her to use.
