Who is your email provider? And which method you use in Email client? POP/IMAP/ActiveSync?

Hi Bethie12,

Did you observe any error message while trying to send an email?

You can clear the app’s cache by navigating to Settings and then tapping Apps. Select the email app, and then tap Storage. Tap Clear cache.

Check if you can sign into and access your email on a PC. If you can, then your phone may not be connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.

If your provider has changed something on the server, you may need to remove your account and then add it again to get the new configuration.

If you're experiencing an email error, here are some common causes and solutions:

Common Email Errors and Solutions:

Invalid Email Address:

Cause: The email address is incorrectly formatted or contains a typo.

Solution: Double-check the recipient's email address for accuracy.

Mailbox Full (Quota Exceeded):

Cause: The recipient’s mailbox is full.

Solution: Contact the recipient and ask them to clear space in their inbox.

Authentication Failure:

Cause: Incorrect email account credentials or server settings.

Solution: Verify the email address, password, and server configuration in your email client (e.g., IMAP/SMTP settings).

DNS Failure:

Cause: The email domain’s DNS settings might be misconfigured or unavailable.

Solution: Check if the domain name is correct and if their mail server (MX records) is functioning properly.

Server Unavailable (503 Error):

Cause: The mail server is temporarily down or overloaded.

Solution: Wait for the server to come back online or contact your email service provider.

Blocked by Spam Filter:

Cause: Your email may have been marked as spam.

Solution: Check your spam folder for outbound emails or contact the recipient to see if your email ended up in their spam.

Attachment Size Exceeded:

Cause: Email attachment is too large.

Solution: Reduce the size of your attachments or use a file-sharing service (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox).

Email Blacklisted:

Cause: Your email server or IP might be blacklisted.

Solution: Check with your email provider and ensure your IP is not on a blacklist. If it is, request removal.

Incorrect Outgoing Server (SMTP) Settings:

Cause: Misconfiguration of SMTP settings in the email client.

Solution: Ensure that the outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings are correct, including the port number, encryption type, and credentials.

Relay Access Denied:

Cause: The email server is preventing relaying to other domains.
Solution: Verify that your email provider allows relaying, or check if you're authenticated correctly when sending emails.

If you can provide more details about the specific error, I can give a more tailored solution!
