5G Setting

Hi Everyone. Anyone know why 5G setting can't be activated while power saver is switched on? 

Using Fold 3.

5G is power hungry. A Google search on Samsung 5G, power saving, will repeat advice on this. This restriction also applies to other phone makers such as Huawei. I will leave you to do further searches on Google in case someone has found how to leave it on.

I think one reason 5g uses more power as well is that it's not pure 5g as I understand. It's a combination of 4g and 5g due to age of 5g. Once 5g matures more it will improve in efficiency but for the moment consider if you need the extra bandwidth 5g offers over 4g.

There's 3 types of 5G.

5G NSA (Non Stand Alone) which piggybacks off the 4G network and was the first type of 5G released in most countries.

5G SA (Stand Alone) which is pure 5G and is rolling out, it seems Voda is ahead with this.

And there's MMWave, ultra fast but ultra limited. Even a tree can block the signal and it has a very short range. There is a few sites around Sydney with it.

Do I need the speed? 🤷 ♂️
Do I love it? Oh yes I do 🤣

Not too shabby for 5G NSA.
