I recently purchased a galaxy fold 4 512gb with trade in for a galaxy flip 3 256gb. The initial estimate was valued at $260. Asurion is now stating the phone is worth $30.

The trade in phone was not worth $30. This is a scam of a service. I have only used this device a few times as it was more of a novelty phone to just have in my collection. I used the flip 3 for a month before the novelty wore off and continued using my S22 ultra and iPhone.

I contacted both Asurion and Samsung with no results and Samsung is just washing their hands saying contact Asurion. Emails are always signed off with 'Samsung Trade up Team Asurion'. It's your bloody team.

Everyone who knows me say all my devices are in mint condition as if they were brand new.

I was shocked to say the least when I received a low ball price of $30 for my device.

The original packaging stickers to the edges of the phone were never taken off the phone. The phone had a case on it at all times (with protective camera cover). I even returned the device in it's original box with the original front and back plastic screen protectors on it for the wish that the next person who gets the device was able appreciate the used device as new when unboxing.

I have video evidence of my device before mailing it in for trade up.

I am now in the process of reporting this matter to the ACCC and will take further action with the TIO.

Shame on you SAMSUNG!

After care customer service is why Dyson and Apple are highly rated. They actually look after their customers.

Ask for your phone back, hopefully it won't come back damaged. When in the home Community page find the magnifier top right, type in Asurion and find many other dissatisfied Asurion customers. You will also find some outline complaint procedures for going to consumer bodies. This requires persistence so many give up. I hope you persevere.

I have the exact same issue

Decided to upgrade to an S23 so traded in my perfectly fine S20 for what was meant to be $120 security charge to be refunded once they inspect and today they emailed saying I will get 0$ for it.

So unhappy... just want my old phone back... was at least worth $300 if went for a private sell.

Have sent emails and even put in an inquiry: Ref 434918

My Tradein ID is SP10K049

Have also emailed the community now so hoping you can help @SamsungClaudette

Many Thanks

Peter
