DiscussionMy Samsung Series 8 (BD-E8900A/XY) PVR HDD stopped working a few months ago. As HDDs don't last forever I acquired a new drive which has been installed but the PVR does not find/see it.
Does anyone know if there is a trick to installing a new HDD in a PVR, for example does it have to be formatted in a PC first?

DiscussionGood afternoon @Zoolu, apologies for the delay.
After looking into the details sent, I think it would be best to refer you to your nearest authorised service centre. I have sent through a private message requesting information in order to send through the best available location.

DiscussionI emailed the details you requested (after finally finding my purchase receipt), Laura last Sunday, 27 March 2022.
I hope the details will be of assistance in someone helping me to get my new HDD recognised by the Blu-ray PVR.
The PVR's firmware is version 1020. I have not seen any later versions being available so I assume there are not any.
Thanks for your assistance.
