Galaxy AThank you for that information @papasnail. I am still looking into this issue with the storage in 'Other', and will get back to you once I receive an update. The 'Lacking storage booting" option is available in the Recovery menu. You would access this the same way you accessed "Wiping cache partition".
To do this, power off your phone > tap and and hold power + volume up key until the Recovery Mode appears > use the volume up and down to navigate until the 'Lacking storage booting' > press the power button> press again to confirm.

Galaxy ANot yet in its entirety. However a fellow forum member had suggested to "Delete dumpstate/logcat". In my case that got back some 3GB.
