Hi all,
I have purchased an A52S yesterday and experiencing very poor battery usage and charging time. The phone drops about 10% every 20minutes....no gaming/streamlining...just googling ways to fix the battery! I'm currently charging it and it is going to take 29mins to charge 10% as well...using the charger it came with....extremely slow!

This is my 2nd A52s the first 1 was great , no issues at all, battery would last well over a day.....this one will be lucky to last 5hrs!

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks :)

Make sure that you don't have apps using your battery in the background and maybe send a error report if it continues

Definitely no apps running in background, hoping it's just figuring itself out and will fix itself in the next couple days

Ok I suggest sending a error report and also what abc222 said if you don't have fast charging turned on your phone will take a long time to charge your phone

Hi Cooky13, five hours of battery life definitely sounds out of the ordinary.

To check and improve your battery performance on your device, follow these steps:

  1. Open Samsung Members > tap on Get help at the bottom of the page
  2. Tap on Interactive checks > Battery. This check will tell you if there are any internal issues or deviations with your battery.

If Life or Capacity shows up blue, your battery is working at typical capacity. If you want to further improve your battery performance, you can do this through Settings> Battery and device care > Battery. Here you can change the ways that your battery is used in your device.

If Life or Capacity shows up yellow, you can send an error report directly from Samsung Members. To do this, tap on Get help> scroll down to Error reports > Power/Battery/Charging. Then describe the details of your battery issue (i.e. battery draining).

If Life or Capacity shows up redI recommend for you to head into your nearest authorised service centre with your proof of purchase so that we can take a closer look into this.

Please be aware that due to our Privacy Policy, your device may be factory reset before being assessed. I highly recommend backing up your device via Smart Switch, OneDrive and/or Google to ensure none of your data is lost.
