Adaptive Refresh Rate Bug?

I got the Samsung Galaxy A36 (at March 31) and the experience? It was smooth, obviously it used adaptive for the refresh rate, which means when on idle its on 60HZ and when the screen is used/active, it switches back to 120HZ, barely noticeable and overall smooth user experience.

However after an update that I recieved (at around April 16), I noticed how sluggish the motion smoothness had become, scrolling feels horrible, multitasking causes severe transitions from 60HZ to 120HZ and vice versa. Using the developer options, I enabled show refresh rate, and I noticed it still maintains 60HZ even when the screen itself is indeed active (scrolling and the usual UI navigation), and then switches back to 120HZ, which causes that horrible lag/delay, which ruins the experience.

The only temporary fix I found was usingGalaxyMaxHertz, and forcing it to useConstant High and notAdaptive, where it will contantly use 120HZ regardless of what status the phone is on, be it idle or active. The problem however is, a restart will force it to useStandard, in which it will use 60HZ until I change it back again, and even then, it would occasionally use 60HZ despite the forced 120HZ, its annoying, it makes the phone feel like those cheap phones. I know the A36 is a mid-ranger device, but seriously, it should not be this sluggish? Considering it has 6 years of support and yet not even a year in, and it already feels like I got this phone 6 years ago.
