Why? Are they gonna discontinue AOD features?

Samsung unified clock style settings with the lock screen. The clock style set on the lock screen is now the one set for AOD as well.

Yes but there isn't still a button for changing AOD with a photo just like before the update

That was removed.

You can restore clock style customizations for AOD with Good Lock and LockStar but there's no longer a way to set a photo as a clock style for it.

as far as i know, pixelated photo feature on AOD now only for S series phone, this can be done thru Good Lock > Wonderland, but you won't find the option since you are using an A series phone, you must be an S series phone to be able use it

Hi there! 👋 Thanks for reaching out.

As of One UI 6, the ability to use a photo as your  AOD  background has been removed across all devices, including flagship models.

However, you can still customize the AOD with various clock styles and widgets on flagship devices, just like other models.

If you really miss the photo feature, you could explore using Good Lock (Samsung's customization app) for additional personalization options, though it won't restore the photo AOD feature directly.

Hope that clears things up! Let us know if you need any further details. 😊
