Hello there!

Awesome day to everyone. Sorry if you oftenly see me share suggestions or ask questions in the community. I just love to explore more idea on how to improve the service and contribute to its advancement. I tried to add the a73 5g phone that is currently registered to my son's samsung member account on mine and unfortunately, it worked. I dont see any security measure that tells me it isnt possible because it is already registered to an account. Where Im coming from is that, if the unit is already associated to an account using its unique model number and IMEI, or the bar code, it shouldnt be added to another user. It will be better if you will add another layer of security to our samsung account where you can only register a samsung phone to a single user/account, which is the owner, and must not be available to others' samsung account for another registration. The only way to remove it is either by factory resetting it or manually removing it from the account. See what Im saying?

I am particular with the phone security itself dear, not personal information. Say someone wants to acquire my unit, and it was registered to his samsung member account, and so with mine. And this guy claims that he is the owner of the unit. It will put my phone at risk because 2 of us will claim as the owner isnt it? So it will be better if one single phone will only be registered to a single account. You feel me !? :)

Hey Shirley1969,

All Samsung mobile devices have two security methods, that we can use after we initially bought the unit.

1- Screen Lock (Pattern, PIN and Password).

2-Biometrics (Fingerprint Scanner and Face Unlock/Recognition)

The above security features are in place, personalized and unique to actual user and owner of the device.

Hope this helps you.

I certainly know that. What I want you to understand is that i am looking at the risk of a certain samsung unit being registered to another samsung member account. If say you have your s21 ultra registered to your samsung account and then I took your model number and IMEI then register it to my account, wouldnt you feel worried? I will feel that if this happens, my phone will be prone to being hacked. See what Im saying?

I think it is up to the user if the user if they registered the IMEI to the samsung account that is possible, you will know if someone already uses your IMEI
