chat settings for samsung messages

Is there any way to force enable chat settings for the stock messages app on my galaxy a8 on android 9? Freedom mobile says because my phone was unlocked and brought over, they can't enable it or wifi calling. Is getting it from the phone's original provider really the only way? Help

Yes they support rcs messaging for snroeid messages and stock samsung messages. It says so on the freedom mobile website and an agent informed me so

I got voLTE now. thanks. RCS messaging on Samsung messages, is still not working. just glad to have the voLTE option, as my calls ans messages were delayed. thank you

try restarting your phone and try enabling chat settings?

I already tried that and tried texting SIM to 40001. it didn't work. I might just need to wait and see but my provide does allow rcs messaging for samsung and android messages. my phone is at least on the proper network and those useless telus apps are gone too
