Dead pixel appear on phone calls

I noticed there was a dead pixel on phone app each time I was on a call. Is this a bug?

no.. it is the proximate sensor.

Nope, it's a sensor to detect proximity, notice when you place your phone near your ear it will turn off the screen, that's its function.
