Pls of the love of God, samsung can you have a samsung dex on this series because it's a cool feature, samsung A90 has one and that is 5 years ago, why not today?
You need to have usb c 3.1. All of the A series except a90 have usb c 2.0. But samsung needs to have a wireless feature just like huawei did. My huawei nova 5t do not uave usb c 3.1 but it can still have desktop mode through screen mirroring
Tama ka! Oo, most A series phones nga like A33, A53, A54, A56 etc. ay may USB-C 2.0 lang, kaya hindi compatible sa wired DeX.
Solid yung suggestion mo — kung nagawa ng Huawei (e.g. Nova 5T) na magkaroon ng wireless desktop mode kahit walang USB-C 3.1, sana nga ma-consider din ng Samsung ang ganitong setup.
Pwede nilang i-optimize ang Smart View o wireless screen mirroring para maging DeX-like kahit walang wired support. Mas maraming makikinabang lalo na sa A series users kung mangyayari 'to.
I think, it would encourage samsung galaxy A users to buy S series because of how good samsung dex really is. Giving a simple taste of samsung dex through wireless connection, will hook them up to buy S series. Wired connection is always better than wireless though
Totally agree! Samsung DeX is definitely a powerful feature, and offering even a small wireless taste of it could be a smart way to spark interest in the S series. But not everyone can jump to the flagship level right away that’s why it would still be nice if Samsung offered limited DeX support to more users.
Wired is always better for performance, yes - but wireless access, even in a basic form, could open up the experience to more people and give them a reason to explore more of what Samsung has to offer. 💙
Yes, as they said, the device needs to have USB 3.1
All A series are still using USB 2.0 except the A90
But it will be good and this is possible if Samsung maximize the power of Smart View (Screen Mirroring)
Since we all know, Smart View itself is already powerful since it can project to Chromecast without additional apps and it can present at the aspect ratio 16:9 (like on the laptops) on external monitors when in landscape mode unlike other devices in-built screen mirroring that sometimes won't go full screen on external monitors
